Orgins of the Ku Klux Klan Annotated Bibliography

 

Baudouin,Richard. The Ku Klux Klan: A History of Racism and Violence. 5 ed. 400 North Carolina: Duke University Press, 1997. 

The first source is a book source. The Ku Klux Klan: A History of Racism and Violence is a book that tells of the history of the Ku Klux Klan. I will use this source to get more information on the Klan and explain how the Klan started.

This source is a book source. Part of this book covers the Ku Klux Klan and how it was constructed during the reconstruction period. I will use this source to gain more information on the Klan and learn more about the history.

Chalmers,David M. Hooded Americanism: The History of the Ku Klux Klan. 3 ed. North Carolina: Duke University Press, 2003.   

This source is a book. The book covers the Klan and explains their place in America. I will use this in my paper to learn about the place the Klan holds in America.

This source is a journal source. It talks about the rise of the Klan and how it became popular. I will use this in my paper to explain how the Klan got many members and how it spread throughout America.

This source is a journal source. The journal talks the Klan becoming a movement that was electric. I will use this source in my paper to explain how the Klan became such a magnetic force.

This is a scholarly journal source. This source will help me understand the Klan better in the 70s and how they were under watch by the FBI.

This is a scholarly website source. The website site the different places the Klan location and how many there were by each year. I will use this for my paper for statistics and note the different states that had the Ku Klux Klan.
